Production of face masks for Covid19 prevention

May 22, 2020 cloth mask covid19 face mask

Facil Clothing decided to produce face masks as a way to stay productive and help others.

We have joined the efforts to support safety of our essential workers by creating handmade, washable and reusable masks using 100% cotton material.

With support from the MRC Unit The Gambia at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, we started the production of 3000 face masks and 700 Plastic Aprons in Gambia to supply frontline workers. In this video Sarah Dufie Sarpong, Head of Health, Safety and Environment at MRC visits our production facility and talks about their work and why they decided to support local companies instead of importing ❤️. The video also shows the production facility of Fandema Mbolo Association, MRC's other partner in this project. #MadeInGambia

Thank you MRC and Sarah for chossing us to work with in providing cloth masks and plastic aprons for your frontline workers on this fight agains Covid19. We are very grateful for this partnership and for being able to help Gambia in the fight against the Corona virus.

MRC are doing a lot of Covid-testing in Gambia as well as supporting the government in other ways.
